People often feel that the healthcare system is complex and not working for them. The North Carolina Healthcare Association and its hospital members wanted to connect with patients and show that they are working to make healthcare better for everyone.
Cynthia worked with NCHA members and partners to develop a research-based initiative to position hospitals as on the public's side. Grounded in conversations and storytelling, it included brand assets, a content hub, digital and social media ads, and a series of virtual town halls discussing themes like public health and health equity.
Instead of portraying a "patient" as vulnerable, SCL Health showed patients as confident and in control, able to access care outside of a traditional facility. Cynthia worked with colleagues to develop a marketing communications initiative discussing whole person care, empowerment and empathy.
